My basement is unfinished, but it is relatively climate-controlled, so some sensitive items may be stored. I keep a few boxes of holiday items and spare linens in a separate area of the basement and have never had an issue. However, I do highly recommend storing your items in plastic storage bins rather than cardboard boxes due to the occasional mouse (they love to chew on cardboard). You don't need to coordinate with me to access your things - the basement has a separate entrance from the main house. The doorway measures 30"x74". Take note that the ceiling is a little low - just over 7' high, so this might not be a good fit for large pieces of furniture that need to be stored upright. Another note, there is a large step down when you enter the basement - about 10" so watch your step! Any length of rental is fine - 1 month or several years. I'm very flexible.
